1st week - we watched Requiem a Dream
The story begins with Harry and Tyrone coming up with a plan to make it rich by selling heroin. They enlist Marion to help them with the business, and the trio quickly finds success. However, the temptation of drug use proves too great, and they soon become addicted themselves.
Sara’s story mirrors that of her son’s in a different way. Feeling disconnected from the world and desperate for love, she becomes addicted to diet pills in order to fit into a red dress for her favourite TV show. As her addiction takes hold, she becomes increasingly paranoid and delusional.
2nd week -- Candy Man
A chance encounter with an old-timer exposes Anthony to the true story behind Candyman. Anxious to use these macabre details in his studio as fresh grist for paintings, he unknowingly opens a door to a complex past that unravels his own sanity and unleashes a terrifying wave of violence. Synopsis

plot summary: In prison where inmates are fed on a descending platform, those on the upper levels take more than their fair share while those below are left to starve on scraps and one man decides to change the system
* Metaphor for classes of society
-when you're at a higher level , you forget the sufferings of the lower level, and when you are at a lower level you blame the higher level for your sufferings.
